Salesforce, Inc. seeks Senior Proactive Services Engineer in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Serve as a trusted advisor, while driving conversations with customer’s Business Stakeholders armed with best practices for enterprise architecture functions such as Security, Performance, Development Process, Release Management, and Application Governance. Provide proactive support, including but not limited to; preparing/presenting trending graphs/reports, leverage the Signature Technical team for deeper analysis, engage with customer’s account team to understand their technology road map, and provide recommendations and best practices to minimize potential service disruptions. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) exhibiting the highest level of expertise in providing technical Support, while reviewing, improving, and approving technical work; to guide others, and to mentor or teach. Liaise and work closely with the Salesforce R&D and Infrastructure teams on escalated technical issues and product roadmap changes/new features. Create knowledge base materials dedicated towards operational efficiency while also empowering and enabling the greater support community. Share best practices with team members to enhance the quality and efficiency of customer support. Understand and document customer's Salesforce implementations, while setting alerts with optimal threshold levels to minimize potential service disruptions in critical business processes. Analyze and identify root causes of why certain processes reached a threshold level and provide possible or alternate solutions to resolve and prevent technical issues. Manage highly visible, global, and strategic enterprise accounts and ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction with Signature Support. Attend, prepare and deliver quarterly business reviews with strategic customer stakeholders for assigned accounts complete with KPIs and 90-day plans. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered. 

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Force.com; (2) PaaS; (3) Visualforce; (4) Lightning Components; (5) Apex; (6) HTML; (7) Java Script; (8) Core Java; (9) Web Services with SOA; (10) REST and SOAP web services; (11) SQL; (12) Splunk; and (13) Argus. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Education, experience and criminal background checks will be conducted. Telecommuting is an option.
