DWR’s Northern Region Office is looking for a dynamic Engineer, WR with a can-do attitude to join its team of professionals dedicated to supporting programs and partners across Northern California. If you enjoy working in a technically focused hydrology and hydraulics environment, growing your Engineering skills on a daily basis, and helping local communities, we may have just the job for you.
Under the direction of the Senior Engineer, Water Resources, the successful candidate will assist in engineering analyses related to flood control, floodplain management, watershed restoration, and flood risk reduction. Responsibilities include conducting rigorous fieldwork, numerical hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and floodplain management. This position will assist local communities with the National Flood Insurance Program administration and compliance.
