Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Southwest Region is currently seeking an experienced professional to serve as the Region Traffic Design Engineer (TE3) in Vancouver, WA. In this role, you will ensure highway construction projects are designed and constructed in compliance with standard specifications and contract plans. This is accomplished by preparing plans, specifications, estimates, reports, and other documents that will be used to improve the safety, quality, and capacity of the State’s Transportation System. This position serves as a fundamental role in the design of illumination, signals, signing, ITS and other such electrical design and supports the department’s mission by focusing on the goals of the Strategic Investments, Modal Integration, and Smart Technology in relationship to reliable highway operations and improved safety.
