Job Description:

HukariAscendent is a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business specializing in comprehensive engineering and technical support services associated with commercial nuclear power and other Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear activities. 

We are looking for a Project Manager to support engineering management, supervision, integration, procurement and for construction engineering, maintenance, planning, and project controls for the Savannah River Pit Production Facility (SRPPF) Project.

Task Requirements:
Provide Engineering Management support for the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) SRPPF Project.

Perform highly complex activities as required by DOE Order 413.3B in support of SRPPF Engineering Management and/or oversee engineering deliverable efforts as necessary.

Plan and execute the Engineering related to DOE Order 413.3B requirements for the SRPPF Project by providing supplemental engineering support.

Project Engineering Management Support shall include:

Provide staff augmentation support for the Savannah River Pit Production Plan (SRPPF) Program and Project Mission.
Primary responsibilities include both program and project activities, such as, generating, reviewing, evaluating, analyzing, and revising written materials for submittal to the DOE.
Prepare and provide input and reviews to development of Conceptual Design packages leading to submission to NNSA to receive Critical Design package approvals, such as, equipment arrangements, glovebox design packages, equipment procurement strategies, construction execution plans, development of project procedures, risk management systems, schedules, and cost estimates.
Perform review and provide recommendations on engineering plans and products.
Perform program, project, and/or task management and development implementation plans.
Participate and/or review engineering and feasibility studies/reports.
Evaluate previous Savannah River Site engineering studies and evaluations for applicability to the Pit Production Mission and provide engineering input on conceptual design product reviews.
Support development of briefing and communications materials.
Provide recommendations on technical and management approaches to work execution.
Provide advice on organization constructs and staffing, such as design authority, change control board operations and makeup, and design integration related to multiple design agencies.

Period of Performance: One(1) one-year base period with no option periods (1880 hr ST / 200 hr OT)

Required Qualifications :
Education: PhD or master’s degree with specialized technical training or bachelor’s
degree with extensive, highly specialized training, preferred PMP certification.

Required Experience:
Minimum 15 years supporting a commercial or federal science, nuclear engineering, or other task relevant programs or projects; typically, 10 or more years in a management role.
Fifteen years DOE, DOD, or NRC nuclear experience commensurate with education criteria.
Ten years Engineering Management level experience in managing projects and programs and/or providing executive level project management reviews.
Ten years project management experience on nuclear projects at DOE, DOD, or NRC facilities.
Demonstrate prior experience in establishing new organizations for new mission activities.
Experience meeting DOE Order 413.3B line-item project requirements for engineering organizations (or equivalent commercial nuclear facility experience) is preferred.
Project and/or Engineering experience with DOE nuclear facilities (preferably at SRS facilities), or equivalent commercial new build nuclear facilities, is preferred.
An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance.
US Citizenship is required.
