Duties and Responsibilities:
This position oversees a range of responsibilities including:
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Principal in Charge and oversees the completion of assignments
  • Analyze and interpret project information
  • Develop specifications during the bidding phase
  • Coordinate and check documents during design development, contract documents and bidding phases and compile addendum information
  • Interpret bid documents during the design phase
  • Check shop drawings
  • Participate in meetings with clients
  • Assure projects are designed to meet plumbing codes
  • Work collaboratively with a team to ensure on-time delivery of budget and schedule
  • Develop solutions necessary for the intended design
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • 8 or more years' experience in the plumbing engineering industry, preferably in designing large science and tech, higher education and corporate office projects.
  • Solid proficiency in Revit required
  • Knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office program suite (Work, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with software programs associated with load calculations, energy analysis and system sizing
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes, plumbing systems and construction detailing
  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals and disciplines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team setting and maintain a keen eye for design and detail
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and dependable with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Architectural Engineering, or related education and industry 
  • Professional Licensure (PE, DES etc.)
  • Specialty certifications such as LEED, WELL, etc. desired but not required
