Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, research, development, testing, and evaluation support in the area of systems engineering, chemical energy (petrochemical, hydrogen fuels), corrosion prevention and control, and sustaining engineering activities. The role will include client, stakeholder, and subcontractor communications and relationship management.


Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Chemical or Processing Engineering or related field
- 3 years experience supporting defense-related projects
- 3 years technical leadership experience
- 3 years of technology transition / product commercialization experience
- 1 year experience in industrial chemical process development, sustainment, or improvement
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with and lead multi-disciplinary teams
- Due to the nature of this position, U.S. citizenship is required


Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

- M.S. or Ph.D. degree with minimum of 7 years experience directly related to pilot scale system operation in petroleum or chemical processing industry
- MBA
- 5 years experience supporting defense-related projects
- 5 years technical leadership experience
- 5 years of technology transition / product commercialization experience
- 5 years experience in industrial chemical process development, sustainment, or improvement
- 3 years experience related to petroleum or chemical processing using pilot scale research systems
- Experience in operating and maintaining pilot scale systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Secret security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance
- Project management experience
- Systems engineering experience
- Vendor and subcontractor management experience
- Prior work experience with UDRI supporting government clients
- Mechanical aptitude
