Who We are 

Swiss Ocean Tech Ltd. is a swiss start-up, founded in 2020, who has developed the patented AnchorGuardian solution which provides safe anchoring for any type of vessel. From super tankers to leisure boats. AnchorGuardian satisfies an unfilled need, we are essentially creating a new market as such a solution does not exist today.

After successful prototypes and a pilot on a superyacht, we are currently starting the series development of AnchorGuardian.

Tasks

Being part of the development team, you will contribute to the product development with the creation and implementation of innovative, power and space optimized printed circuit boards for AnchorGuardian. You will collaborate closely with experts in the field of inertial navigation systems, ultrasound doppler sensors, underwater communication, and wireless inductive charging.

Profile

We are looking for a highly qualified team member of our start-up who enjoys the flexibility and empowerment a start-up can offer and working with a highly motivated and international team. Your role will include to architect and define new printed circuit boards in collaboration with the electronics and mechanical engineering team and to execute the complete hardware design cycle including:

• Writing technical specifications
• Creating schematics, PCB layout, generating production data (KiCAD)
• Analog circuit simulation (SPICE)
• PCB production management and documentation
• Low level embedded firmware design (C / C++) on ARM architecture (STM32)
• Hardware bring-up
• Verification and validation including functional and compliance tests such as EMC, electrical compliancy of interfaces, shock and vibration.

The employment is at our offices in Baden, Switzerland, close to Zürich.

Qualification

• BSc or MSc degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years experience in the development of electronic hardware based on discrete off-the-shelf components (mixed signal, low noise analog and high-speed digital circuits, schematics entry, PCB layout, EMC).
• Profound experience in development of low-level embedded firmware and digital signal processing
• Experience in PCB production management
• Work experience with STM32 (CubeMx, CubeIDE), Python (PyQt or Kivy) and knowledge in digital filter design and digital communication (FSK, PSK, channel coding) is a plus

• Enthusiasm and proactive behavior
• Team player with good communication skills to interact constructively with colleagues and development partners
• Fluency in English (reading and writing), German is a plus.
