Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer I works under general supervision to implement companywide manufacturing processes within defined guidelines. Using their analytical, diagnostic, and investigative skills, the Manufacturing Engineer will determine methods and procedures to solve problems and provides direct support to design, fabricate, and evaluate manufacturing operations as it relates to these goals.

Essential Functions

  1. Support technical notices from customers through engineering notice procedure, assist with various team projects as needed, and recommend methods and processes required to meet production/design objectives
  2. Develop and maintain manufacturing operation standards and time standards for manufacturing processes, recommending methods and processes required to meet production/design objectives
  3. Analyze causes of manufacturing process issues, develop enhancements, and implement approved actions to improve the manufacturing processes through machine corrections or the use of additional tools and/or automation
  4. Research new automation equipment and coordinate with vendors and purchasing to procure new equipment and perform proof of concept checks, leading the introduction of newly purchased products to the manufacturing areas
  5. Provides training and guidance to cross-department personnel as required, supporting team projects as needed
Other Responsibilities

  2. Provide consistent, high-quality output to ensure customer satisfaction and create value to exceed customer expectations
  3. Regular and reliable attendance is required to accomplish essential functions of the job
Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
  2. 0-2 years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
  3. Good analytical, diagnostic, and investigation skills.
  4. Intermediate PC skills are required, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CAD skills beneficial.
  5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel
  6. Ability to write, develop and deliver technical reports
  7. Some project management experience preferred
  8. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in a warehouse, manufacturing, cleanroom, and/or office environment that is subject to moderate to high levels of noise, specialized apparel and safety equipment, and moving mechanical parts. This position will have exposure to and use of materials listed in the company’s Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee conducts primarily light work with constant periods of standing, walking, reaching, and occasional periods of squatting, crawling, climbing, stooping, talking, listening, pushing, and pulling. This position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Repetitive motions (movements) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers are required.
This position will require employee to be onsite.
