Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) State Material Laboratory is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the vacancy of Asphalt Laboratory Engineer – Transportation Engineer 2 in Tumwater, WA. This position supports the WSDOT Bituminous Materials section by materials testing, training, instruction, and inspection of the work of permanent and non-permanent employees in the Liquid Asphalt Laboratory. This laboratory is responsible for supporting statewide WSDOT capital construction projects with performance graded (PG) asphalt binders and emulsified asphalts verification, conformation, and specification compliance testing.
