Job Role: Electrical Design Engineer
Loc: Chicago,IL (Day 1 Onsite)
Description:
Electrical design experience with power and controls
-Experience working in the field. No supervision needed for field walkdowns to gather information and evaluate design constructability
- Low Voltage, Medium Voltage designs‐ MCC and down i.e. 480V and lower.
- MCC schematic development / creation.
- Control Panel/Station layout and IO schematic creatio.
- Creation of Wiring Diagrams and Electrical Equipment Layouts (power, instrument and
grounding plans)
- Preparation of MCC, VFD, and IO/PLC components equipment specifications
- Both Electrical & Instrumentation experience needed
- Sizing of equipment / instruments.
- MCC, lighting, cable, cable tray, transformer caluculations.
-Single line diagrams
- Electrical/Instrumentation portion of P&ID
- Motor list, device list
- NEMA and IEC standards
- Ability to do Site assessment‐ Walk down plants
- Should be able to assist in preparing scope definition document
- Ability to coordinate with third‐party engineering personnel, vendors, contractors, project manager, construction manager
- Preparation of fabrication packages for VFDs, MCCs, Control Panels, etc.,including equipment specifications.
- Design of cable trays and lighting layouts.
- Design of power panel schedules
- Proficient in electrical CAD design (AutoCAD, Draftsight)
- Development of wiring block diagrams
- Ability to travel 20% of the time
