Job Description:
We are seeking a driven Service Engineer that is looking to make the next big step in their career. SERVICE ENGINEER
The Service Engineer is responsible for supporting the company's customers and their systems after installation and start-up while ensuring they carry the company's values throughout their relationships with customers. They will resolve issues and provide solutions to the best of the company's abilities. The Service Engineer reports to the Systems Services Manager, and when necessary, support the Engineering Services Manager and the Field Installation Supervisors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Approve all drawings and contents of all prints in production for jobs assigned.
Approve all material requisitions with proper management of purchasing and lead times.
Manage material and labor budgets for jobs.
Develop and maintain professional communication and relationships with customers and key customer representatives.
Develop and approve all required engineering documentation including operation manuals, maintenance manuals, recommended spare parts lists, etc.
Work closely with fabrication personnel to complete the project.
Manage the fabrication phase of the project to ensure continuity with the contract and design specifications, ensuring the final drawings reflect the end product.
Support field personnel by providing phone support, additional materials, updated prints, etc.
Site visits for evaluation and preparation, equipment review during installation, as required.
Generate and communicate potential sales leads to Management.
Research and prepare customer quotes, pricing and delivery dates for customer machine repairs and upgrades.
Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and field installation on customer orders, field installation and warranty issues.
Support customers to resolve warranty issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
3 - 5 years of mechanical design
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
Basic understanding of AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Ability to travel as position requires
Possess an assertive, self-driving attitude
