Job Description:

General Purpose:

Supports Sales activities for display and touch products in US and Europe. Acts as a technical interface between the customer and the factory during the complete sales and development process from the RFQ phase through NPI until production ramp up. Provides technical support for issues arising during mass production and ramp down/EOL. This position reports to NVD’s VP of Product Engineering.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provide technical support to Sales team by giving roadmap and capability presentations
  • Build NVD customer relationships by planning and coordinating periodic customer visits
  • Analyze customer’s existing touch and display solutions and find competitive alternatives
  • Support communication between BDM and RFQ-team to ensure that customer’s cost and performance requirements are quoted appropriately; prepare or review the specification compliance overview
  • Advise customer on available TP and display solutions, technology advantages/disadvantages, and integration into the final product
  • Maintain contact with customer engineers and provide support during the product development phase via phone, email, and on-site (as needed)
  • Ensure smooth communication between customer and NVD’s Project Management, QA and Engineering teams on all design and quality issues
  • Support the QA Team by explaining failure analysis results to the customer
  • Understand customers’ failure reports and guide QA team in failure analysis
  • Review product specifications for accuracy, FA and CAR reports, and other documentation before sending it to the customer
  • Follow up on sample shipments to customers and provide support in operation and integration of product
  • Provide technical support to customers during the product/process change notice (PCN) (e.g. component end-of-life situations, qualification of new production line etc.)
  • Support programs through NPI into mass production

Qualifications:

  • Degree in electrical engineering
  • 4-5 years engineering experience is desirable with focused experience in displays and touch panels
  • Good knowledge in the field of optics is a plus
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to travel frequently, including internationally and on short notice
  • Availability and flexibility to work with China team during their working hours
