Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Public Transportation Division is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 4 to serve as the Green Public Transportation Infrastructure Engineer in Olympia, WA. This position provides technical expertise and engineering assistance for more than $200 million in public transportation projects. These projects will help the state improve safety, provide more equitable mobility, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The person in this position will build their expertise in the fast-growing green transportation infrastructure field. They will then use that expertise to support local and regional agencies and support statewide planning efforts. The person in this position will play a pivotal, statewide role to support local construction transportation projects and their scoping, planning, design, and construction. Additionally, this position performs oversight to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
