Job Description:

Responsibilities
  • The Engineering Manager will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) knowledgeable spokesperson on Engineering related matters.
  • Provide input to the EPC contracting strategy and during bid clarification process
  • Build a project engineering team with the competencies and skill sets for optimal overall project technical solution.
  • Ensure latest concepts, techniques and innovative execution approaches bring a cost and schedule benefit to the execution and are applied to ensure competitive advantage through capital efficiency and lowest total cost of ownership for the new assets.
  • Responsible for assisting with the development of the PMP/PEP, bid submissions, construction methodology and strategies
  • Management of change (MOC) process. In addition, she/he will assist with mechanical start-up plans and procedures, provide technical support during start-ups, support training and assure documentation and knowledge transfer.
  • Relocation provided.

Requirements
  • The Engineering Manager will have a BS or MS degree (or MBA) with a chemical engineering major. A PMP is desired.
  • Experience successfully managing front end development and detailed design for Brownfield and / or Greenfield projects (>$800 MM USD).
  • 15 years of functional management experience leading an engineering team with a global engineering design firm.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplined engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors.
  • Advanced knowledge of equipment through all stages of a project from conceptual phase to design development, construction, and commissioning
  • Advanced constructability knowledge to input to engineering to reduce construction costs; improve quality, safety and productivity; shorten construction schedules; and reduce or eliminate construction inefficiencies.
  • Project controls and cost forecasting.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
