Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has an exciting and unique opportunity for a Transportation Technical Engineer to serve as the Constructability & Administration Engineer in Lacey, WA. This position will report to the Region Construction Office and provide technical expertise and support to the Olympic Region (OR) Project Offices regarding constructability, contract administration, and project issue resolution. As the Constructability & Administration Engineer, you will, on an as-needed basis, serve as a liaison with OR Project Development by serving as a subject matter expert on project constructability issues. In addition, this position will lead OR Design-Build Site Managers by providing coaching, mentoring and guidance in developing staffing plans, project start-up plans, and developing best practices regarding the administration of construction projects. Our top candidate must be highly developed, knowledgeable, and experienced in contract administration to assist project offices in developing risk mitigation plans, evaluating project issues, consulting on contract dispute issues, and developing strategies to resolve these issues.
