This position manages the Process Safety Management (PSM) program, OSHA Standards for General Industry regulation 29 CFR 1910.119 - Process Safety Management of Highly Hazardous Materials, for the White Springs site. In addition, this position provides technical support for PSM related issues in the Phosphate division. This position has a wide range of authority for decision making with minimal supervision while coordinating the site wide PSM activities. The Incumbent has direction setting authority for activities that are often new in nature to the site such as Layers of Protection Hazard analysis, Facility Siting requirements, and Safe Haven development.
Tasks:
- Assist in coordination of site wide PSM activities to ensure technical support to the Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, other plant departments, and management.
- Participate in the establishment of short and long term PSM program strategies and goals for the continual improvement of site PSM performance.
- Produce, advise, review and/or manage all PSM correspondence, record keeping, and reporting documentation for all site PSM process activities.
- Work directly with regulatory agencies on all PSM matters including agency inspections.
- Assist other Phosphate sites to apply PSM principles by providing technical expertise, site PSM policies and procedures and performing PSM focused audits.

Qualifications:
This position requires an A.S. or pending B.S. Degree in Engineering and/or a minimum of 2 yrs industrial experience in a Process Safety Management covered process or industry.
B.S Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5 yrs experience in a Process Safety Management covered process or industry preferred.
Ability to plan, measure, and interpret results from an examination of the environment and present specific conclusions through verbal and written communications to management with minimal supervision.
