We are currently seeking an EE/Firmware Engineer to design and develop hardware and firmware/software programs (Windows, mobile, and embedded systems) for torque, gyro, strain gage, and other measurement applications. This person will utilize advanced math processes to convert analog and digital values into algorithms that calculate torque value, rotation, position and orientation of hand tools along with other physical attributes. Systems level responsibility for product software and firmware design including writing code, calibration methods, specification writing, code testing, and tool/system testing. Support current product line as needed.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s and 5 years related experience or Master’s degree and 3 years related experience in computer science, mathematics, or engineering. 
  • Detailed knowledge of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, ZigBee and other wireless technology, messaging protocols, and interfaces.
  • Familiar with lab equipment including digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes and data acquisition system.Ability to write procedures, routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with customers, associates and various organizational levels. Strong motivational skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, and recommend and implement resolution. Develop standards as needed, manage processes, analyzing information, and problem solving and decision making. Analyzing information and process improvement is a must, as well as attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to act independently. Ability to supervise and effectively engage associates.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and adjust in a fast pace work environment and make timely decisions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate organizational and team building skills and able to lead improvements.
  • Highly motivated, high energy with the ability to both works independently and with the team.
  • Very strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent Analytical Skills including processing large amounts of operating and sales data from a variety of sources to support decision making.
