Senior backend Engineer- pro bono volunteer (unpaid) part-time remote opportunity. This project is for volunteers, who want to make a difference and our society better.
This is an ideal opportunity for a senior backend developer who wants to join the international movement in order to make our world a better place. 
 
What you'll do

• Design, discuss, code, test, and implement new features for our PWA.
• Develop, and support our PWA.
• Work closely and collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team and marketing team to develop features. 
• Listen to customers, understand their needs, and represent them in delivering our product roadmaps.
• Propose methods and process improvement to increase developer velocity
• Requirements gathering on incoming requests.
• Writing database queries and stored procedures with complex relationships.
• Debugging platform as part of troubleshooting.
• Code reviews as a part of the software development lifecycle.
• Self-service functionality
• Utility servers such as SFTP or proxies

About knowledge, experience, and skills

• 5 or more years of experience in Python (Django framework). 
• Familiar with task management systems (Trello, Confluence, JIRA, etc).
• Ability to work well independently and within a team.

• Like-minded person, with a desire to truly understand the company beyond the numbers.
• Team player, who enjoys collaborating to develop solutions
• Desire to work in a dynamic start-up environment
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Experience in working in IT-startups / IT-companies will be a plus.
• Experience with cloud technologies
• Experience in remote work will be a plus. 

Our technical stack: Python (Django), Javascript (React.js), Typescript, PostgreSQL, Heroku (later will be AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud).
