As an Engineering Technician will be to support the Customer Success and Engineering teams by helping customers resolve issues with equipment in the field and perform various other duties within the engineering department. You will have the opportunity to be creative and use your technical and communication skills to generate solutions to meet customer expectations. You will have the opportunity to get hands-on with the technology by testing your designs in the manufacturing environment and laboratory.  You will be instrumental in the success of our products and customers by troubleshooting and resolving customer issues, executing changes to drawings and operation manual, loading bills of material into the ERP, performing hands-on tests in the engineering laboratory and various other responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with external customers on “tickets” for troubleshooting support of equipment & systems
  • Identify & execute improvements for equipment designs and execution processes within the department
  • Perform duties as assigned through the Engineering Change Request and Change Order process
  • Prepare, review, collaborate with Engineering and Marketing on Product Maintenance and Operation manuals
  • Support the Sales Team with technical information and discussions where required
  • Engage with external partners (suppliers, panel shops, engineering consultants) to produce solutions
  • Occasional hands-on assembly or disassembly of HTC product for analysis
  • Train and demonstrate equipment to internal and external customers and technical support staff
  • Maintain product knowledge and apply this understanding to provide unique and custom solutions
  • Interface with both the ERP & CRM systems to execute activities
  • Generate and release full bills of material for manufacturing
  • Perform other duties as required, including lab testing or field service, with ability to travel occasionally as back-up support
  • Design/model machine components and process systems or create electrical schematics / panel drawings or controls programs as applicable

 Desired Experience:

  • 2+ years of electrical, mechanical or technology related experience (or a combination of education and experience)
  • Familiar with engineered products
  • Experience with electronics or controls
  • Experience with mechanical systems and design
  • Experience supporting customers and resolving questions
  • CAD software experience (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks)
  • ERP and CRM experience a plus

 Education:

  • Associates degree: preference of Electrical or Mechanical technology focus area (other disciplines also considered)

 Travel:

  • Potentially 15-20% travel, domestic and occasional international locations
  • Must possess legal authorization to work in the US and a valid US Real ID driver’s license
