Job Description:

 

Basic Purpose of Position: Position has responsibility to manage assigned project engineering goals and objectives. Manages and reports the status of engineering projects within the group. Demonstrates a high level of technical expertise in an engineering discipline. Has an in-depth understanding of Spartronics business goals and provides the engineering leadership required to support goal attainment.

 

  

  • Responsible for design/development activities which may include leading, participating in, coordinating, or supporting: Concept, planning, design and execution stages, Risk assessment, Prototyping/testing, Design reviews & Verification & Validation.
  • Plan project schedules and budgets, using input from lead engineers.
  • Lead teams of cross-discipline engineers toward performance, schedule, and budget goals.
  • Monitor total project and product costs for the project, control BOM, and ensure procurement and build schedules.
  • Lead project review and team meetings.
  • Create design proposals for potential new programs.
  • Create monthly reports including accomplishments, progress, costs and schedule status.
  • Plan, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provides advice on feasibility and risks for a product.
  • Serve as technical consultant for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor technical advancements and best practices in the industry and share technical knowledge gained with colleagues.
  • Take an active role in continuous improvement initiatives.
 

 

Requirements

 

  •  12 years + of experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
  • Medical Device Development experience.
  • Experience leading large scale medical device development programs.
  • Demonstrated design engineering experience through the product life cycle from concept to production.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams including internal and external team members, consultants, development partners and clients.
  • Experience specifying, designing, and evaluating electromechanical systems and components by applying engineering principles and knowledge.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing designs, calculations, engineering documentation, test plans and technical reports.
