Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has several exciting opportunities for individuals with strong technical, engineering, and interpersonal skills who are looking for an opportunity to move into a supervisory role. These positions will support delivery of design and construction projects in Project Offices within Olympic Region as they become available. These opportunities will provide experience and growth through the oversight and leadership in the design, construction, and administration of a wide variety of projects. The Design/Field Engineer positions will have the responsibility to lead inspection efforts for construction projects, as well as provide project management and technical guidance and direction in the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates. The Office Engineer positions will be responsible for the supervision and guidance in preparing contractor payments, materials documentation, preparing and processing of change orders and contractor submittals, as well as preparing budget and cost reports. Our top candidates must be creative in identifying and solving problems, possess excellent project management skills, support, and provide an inclusive work environment and have an aspiration to develop their staff to become future leaders of the department.
