Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the Senior Environmental Engineer/Advisor - Air is responsible for developing and maintaining a robust environmental air program.

This position is located in Borger, Texas, U.S.A and is not available for remote work.

What you will do:

  • Be responsible for all air permits including Title V Operating, New Source Review, Prevention of Significant Deterioration, and Permit by Rules
  • Prepare and submit reports including Title V Deviation, New Source Performance Standards, Air Emissions Inventory, Green House Gas Part 98, Toxic Release Inventory, and Toxic Substances Control Act
  • Maintain plant Risk Management Plan in close partnership with Process Safety Team
  • Serve as task force leader for air environmental program development, monitoring, and metrics
  • Establish systems to proactively manage risk, increase efficiency, and continually improve performance
  • Stay abreast of all air related federal, state, and local regulations
  • Monitor for regulatory change, assess site applicability, and develop mitigation measures
  • Lead environmental incident management processes including regulatory release reporting determinations, investigations, and corrective actions
  • Serve as a liaison with external regulatory agencies and support regulatory inspections
  • Assess regulatory and permit applicability for site projects including equipment upgrades and expansions

What you will bring:

  • BS in chemical, environmental, mechanical engineering, physical sciences, environmental science, or related degree

  • 8-15 years’ experience in chemical manufacturing, air permitting, and compliance including Title V, NSR, and PSD

  • Extensive Clean Air Act Regulatory Knowledge (40 CFR 50-99), CERCLA, and EPCRA

  • Organizational skills to enable timely monitoring and response of environmental key performance indicators

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple complex assignments with direct implications to the business

  • Must be highly self-driven, with the ability to excel autonomously and in a team

  • Proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and online reporting
