The engineering team at Ashley Edison Asia Pte Ltd is seeking a Sales Engineer (Electrical) to expand our customer base, and service existing customers through strategic emailing and cold calling.
 

Job Description:

  • Position Title: Sales Engineer (Electrical)

  • Working Location: Toa Payoh North, Singapore 318993

  • Working Hours: 5 days (Monday – Friday: 9.30am – 5.30pm, no overtime required)

  • Salary Package: Basic + 14 days Annual Leave + Performance Bonus

  • Duration: Permanent
     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with worldwide enquiries and queries;

  • Provide technical consultation, perform detailed calculations and advisory to prospects; 

  • Generate and provide itemised quotations, tailored to customer’s applications;

  • Follow up with sales collections;

  • Liaise and coordinate with overseas vendors and suppliers;

  • Conduct extensive research on emerging industrial and technological trends;

  • Seek out potential customers, and identify potential competitors;

  • Support management in reviewing, evaluating and developing pricing strategies for various product portfolios to improve profitability;

  • Develop winning business proposals with unique value propositions—as a premium provider of quality, safety and sustainable power solutions to customers;

  • Responsible for providing amazing customer experience—from acquisition to after-sales support;

  • Visit consultants, contractors, developers, building owners, etc on a regular basis to establish good relationships;

  • Gain and retain long-term partnerships with clients to drive business development efforts forward.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Engineering with Business;

  • Minimum 4 years of sales and marketing experience in the Electrical Industry; with strong technical and industry knowledge;

  • Exceptional understanding of electrical design and circuitry;

  • Experience in essential electrical components and building mechanical & electrical (M&E) systems;

  • Keen interest in power quality optimisation;

  • Unshakably fearless of rejections;

  • Exceptional email writing skills that converts, inspires and motivates;

  • Strong empathetic, articulative, communication and negotiation skills;

  • Incredibly organised and proficient with Gmail, Google Office Suite;

  • Bilingual in English & Mandarin is a must—to liaise with Mandarin-speaking vendors and clients;

  • Pleasant personality, and highly motivated with a genuine passion for self-development in sales skills.

  • Strong entrepreneurial drive in business development.

  • Strong sense of responsibility, initiative and commitment.

  • Candidates with experience in liaising with Consultants & Architects will be an advantage.
