Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has an exciting opportunity for an individual who wants to make a major impact on environmental stewardship in the Olympic Region (OR). As the Fish Passage Technical Lead, you will provide key direction in development and delivery of the Region’s Fish Passage Program. This lead Region technical expert provides direct support to Region Fish Passage Project Managers and the Region Pre-Design team on technical aspects of streambed design, fish species life cycle needs and fish passable water crossing structures. This position supports WSDOT’s mission by ensuring that fish passage projects are designed, constructed, and maintained in compliance with current policies, procedures, and practices. Our top candidate will ensure this is accomplished by providing consistent and reliable consultation to our regulatory and Tribal partners and by helping to deliver cost effective transportation options to improve communities and economic vitality for people and businesses.
