Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead design projects for municipal water and sewer clients
  • Develop designs consistent with project requirements
  • Perform supporting calculations as required with proper documentation for quality control procedures
  • Review shop submittals, vendor and/or manufacturer drawings for compliance and general conformance
  • Review design drawings for dimensional compatibility, technical consistency, and adherence to company standards
  • Write technical specifications and prepare contract documents/project manuals
  • Provide technical and administrative guidance to other Engineers, Designers, and Drafters
  • Develop scope of work, project approach, schedules, and costs in coordination with leads
  • Determine budgets and schedules
  • Report writing
  • Proposal development
  • Work with and support junior staff

In addition, a candidate with Project Management experience will:

  • Supervise lead discipline engineers in technical execution of the project
  • Coordinate project administrative and technical information
  • Supervise project controls, maintaining schedule status, cost reporting, and forecasts
  • Develop scope of work, project approach, schedules, and costs in coordination with leads
  • Determine budgets and schedules

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or similar field
  • 5-10 years of experience in water and/or sewer
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in multi-disciplined projects preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required

Additional Notes

This position is ideal for a candidate with a desire to grow within a technical Project Management role.  This position is not client-facing.  This role will require local travel to client job sites but is not a travel extensive position.  Candidate will be expected to work on-site from our Lititz, Reading, Pottsville, or Mountain Top offices during the first several weeks/months.  After training period, if best suited for the candidate and Entech, a hybrid option is available.
