Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, the incumbent manages and performs a variety of advanced engineering and construction management assignments. This position is responsible for performing highly skilled planning and project management tasks related to the construction of major Sewer Utility Capital Improvements, including design, bidding, implementation and on-going management of contracts with consulting firms and contractors. The position supervises engineers, office support and interns. Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, construction management, or closely related field, from a college, university or school accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education; AND
- Four years of progressively responsible technical civil engineering experience, including two years of construction experience including structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil work for pumping and water/wastewater treatment facilities; AND
- Two years of supervisory experience of staff and construction oversight, construction management, project management, and design development review; AND
- One year of contract administration experience; OR
- Any equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the applicant with the desired knowledge, skills and ability required to perform the work.
