Job Description:

Our Eastern NC client, a global chemical leader, has multiple openings for experienced PSM Engineers.  The PSM program responsibilities will include implementing all aspects of plant-wide strategies, performance, MOC, corrective actions, audits, and regulatory compliance.  Requires an extensive background working in PSM regulated industries, with solid technical expertise in production/ operations, maintenance, EHS, and projects.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

--- Apply PSM principles by providing technical expertise, implementing policies and procedures and performing PSM focused audits

--- Set strategies and goals for the continuous improvement of site PSM program 

--- Assist employees in the review of all plant process changes, modifications, construction, and operations for PSM compliance

--- Support site PHA Facilitators by providing the required training in HazOps, SIL, SRS, and SIS for site compliance

--- Facilitate PSM corrective actions developed from Incident Investigations, PHAs, and audits are aimed at reducing or eliminating process and physical hazards

--- Manage all PSM correspondence, record keeping, and reporting documentation, including MOC and incident / corrective action reporting

--- Stay informed of new or pending PSM regulations and methods of enforcement and inspections by regulatory agencies

--- Develop, and manage PSM program costs for the Health & Safety Department budget

--- Work directly with regulatory agencies on all PSM matters including agency inspections

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

--- BS Engineering degree with 5+ years experience as Process Engineer responsible for PSM compliant regulated industries

--- Extensive knowledge of the OSHA Standards for General Industry regulation 29 CFR 1910.119

--- Must have good understanding of chemical manufacturing operations

--- Experience with incident investigations

--- Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future
