The Systems Project Engineer will:
• Interface with clients in defining systems and digital engineering, sustainment, and technology transition requirements, roadmaps, and project/program plans
• Lead, facilitate, and coordinate cross-functional UDRI-partner- client teams to execute assigned projects and programs to meet and exceed all performance, schedule, and cost objectives
• Serve as UDRI liaison to US Air Force (USAF) operational, programmatic, research, sustainment, and digital transformation organizations
• Maintain and manage project/program schedules, budgets/spend plans, and deliverables
• Research and advise clients and UDRI associates in areas regarding digital transformation for government and commercial sector clients



Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Systems, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or other related technical field
• 3 years’ experience in field-level logistics or operational role in the USAF
• 4 years’ experience in engineering, program management, or logistics functions in USAF systems program office(s)
• Experience leading multifunctional teams and/or integrated process teams
• Experience in aspects of digital engineering relevant to USAF acquisition/sustainment
• Experience in program risk management and mitigation
• Experience in managing and facilitating technology transition activities
• DAU Level II Program Management or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Experience in process improvement
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong written communication skills
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to obtain security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• MS in an engineering field or an MBA
• Systems engineering degree or certification
• Training/experience in model based systems engineering (MBSE)
• Training/experience in creating/applying digital twins
• 3 years’ operational aircraft maintenance experience in USAF
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Active security clearance
