Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking an engineering professional to serve as a Software Application Engineer - Bridge Engineer 4 (In-Training). This position works with the Bridge Design Technology Unit Manager to maintain, enhance, and support WSDOT developed structural engineering software applications and supports implementation and use of vendor supplied structural engineering applications in the Bridge and Structures Office. In this role, you will support WSDOT’s mission “to provide and support safe, reliable and cost-effective transportation options to improve livable communities and economic vitality for people and businesses” by developing and supporting structural engineering software applications that automate essential structural engineering processes and allow Bridge Engineers to efficiently produce structural designs for capital transportation projects.
