Washington State Department of Transportation’s (WSDOT) Geotechnical Office is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 2 to serve as a Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) Support Specialist in Tumwater, WA. This position will independently provide support to produce engineering documents for geotechnical design and construction contracts for simple to complex structures Statewide. As the CAE Support Specialist, you will prepare and detail geotechnical drawings, engineering plots and soils profiles for use in Geotechnical recommendations and reports. The Geotechnical Office supports WSDOT’s mission of providing safe and sustainable multimodal transportation system by ensuring that soil and rock beneath the ground surface can support the loads and conditions placed on it.
