Seeking a talented Sr. Manager of System Engineering to lead an engineering team. In this role, you will develop global product strategies through the understanding of unmet customer needs, performance requirements, and overall customer satisfaction. You will contribute technical expertise, drive innovation, oversee all technical work, including setting and maintaining design standards and incorporating the latest design methods and tools to improve internal and external design practices. You will keep technology at the forefront of the industry by providing technical leadership in all phases of product development, including product definition, architecture, design, layout and production support.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for leading large product development effort through the complete life cycle from market analysis to end of life.
  • Collaborate with all product stake holders including customers, vendors, business development, production, service and senior management
  • Integrate innovative technical solutions to best satisfy market and customer requirements including features, performance, cost, manufacturability, quality, and time to market
  • Manage and direct multi-discipline team of system engineers
  • Responsible for identifying and executing continuous improvement efforts to reduce overall design costs and improve product performance and reliability
  • Responsible for overall project and team planning, budgets, goal setting and tracking progress.  Deviations from plans must be clearly and promptly communicated to senior management
  • Coordinate external vendors and suppliers for both standard and custom products and development
  • Contribute as a core member of the leadership team
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Submission Summary):
1. BS or MS in engineering
2. 10+ years related systems engineering experience
3. Proficient at system modeling, analysis, design and troubleshooting
4. Demonstrated innovation
5. Fluent in control system design, modeling and analysis
6. Fluent in mechanical structural analysis
7. Fluent in software design and algorithms
8. Strong communications skills and experience presenting to senior management
12. Strong understand of entire product develop cycle
13. 5+ years of experience designing stabilized gimbals
14. Understanding of imaging system modeling and analysis
15. Strong background in system requirements definition and maintenance
16. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
