Job Description:

The University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) is seeking a highly motivated and highly talented Process Engineering Cost Analyst to analyze and interpret advanced manufacturing process and technical data to track and improve efficiency and conduct cost analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:
• BS degree in Engineering (structural, aerospace, mechanical, or systems)

• Possess a solid understanding of engineering requirements and a rudimentary understanding of manufacturing processes
• 1+ years of experience in applying cost estimating methods, and the ability to perform quantitative manufacturing process analysis and cost estimation
• Ability to read and understand Computer Aided Design (CAD) files and 3D modeling
• Document and analyze historical cost data for use in developing estimates and present findings in clear and concise way to management
• Coordinate with engineers and technicians to determine engineering method and process and apply to cost analysis efforts
• Be a self-starting team player; possess a strong work ethic, good communications, analytical and interpersonal skills
• US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• 2+ years of experience in the engineering field
• Develop and maintain complex advanced manufacturing cost models
• Estimate labor and material cost for sustainment cost reduction initiatives
• Identify actionable recommendations for enhancing financial performance and affordability
• Develop and analyze cost estimates

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
