UDRI invites qualified candidates to apply for our Senior Production Planner opening within our Sustainment Technology Transitions division! This position is located at the Advanced Technology and Training Center (ATTC) – Warner Robins, GA at the University of Dayton Research Institute. This position provides manufacturing operations support for aircraft and vehicle sustainment technology development and transition including vehicle maintenance, aircraft maintenance and ground support equipment. This position will support the Additive Manufacturing Operations Group and will report to the Additive Manufacturing Group Leader. Duties will include, managing the production schedule, supply chain management, coordinating shipments of parts to/from customers and/or vendors, process analysis using ERP software and inventory management and related purchasing activities. In addition, this position will be responsible for the coordination, compilation, and facilitation of periodic AM metrics reviews. At the request of the AM Operations Group leader this position may also be responsible for planning, coordination, and management of special projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, operations management, engineering/technology, OR 10 years of experience in a related field.
• 5 years of experience in logistics analysis and production planning in a manufacturing environment.
• 5 years of experience in inventory management and control.
• 2 years of experience utilizing an ERP system for resource planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient at using MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc) to track/present data.
• Experience creating and briefing production reports to senior leadership.
• Experience working with government customers in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with employing lean concepts to improve processes in a manufacturing environment (5S, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Due to the nature of this position, US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:


While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
• Advanced degree in in business management, finance, operations management, engineering/technology OR 12 years of experience in a related field.
• 5 years of minimum experience in production control or production management in a small to mid-size shop machining/manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, or equivalent).
• 3 years minimum experience implementing/using ERP software. ECI E2 software preferred.
• Experience with inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
