Job Description:

Join a global chemical industry leader in a Continuous Improvement Manager - Chemical Operations role for multiple US plant operations. This role requires you to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives and projects for the plant operation including training, coaching and mentoring cross-functional teams on utilization of Lean principles.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

--- Facilitate the site's strategic initiatives for the plant operations to identify, plan and execute CI with respect to people, practices, and performance. 

--- Lead the identification and prioritization of opportunities where process redesign/improvement can significantly impact efficiency, compliance, quality, profitability, competitive position and customer satisfaction.

--- Advise Site Management Team on strategy deployment targets to improve.

--- Lead and execute process improvement initiatives; procedures and modifications to improve production efficiencies, operating performance and production yields

--- Direct problem-solving teams and kaizen events to improve operating performance

--- Analyze key data components (Costs, FTEs, KPIs etc.) to help with fact-based decision making

--- Ensure Lean principles are being sustained in all areas utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology

--- Be the liaison between Operations, Quality and Technical / R&D teams to ensure smooth transition of products from concept to market.

--- Lead and provide training to the team on the visual standard work instructions (including TPM) which are displayed at each point of value-adding activity.

--- Support a plant/ operation culture that promotes involvement, communication, expectations and accountability and a passion for excellence.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

--- BS in Engineering with 7+ years experience in Operations/ Manufacturing Leadership in chemical, food, pharma, nutritional, or related process industries.

--- Required 5+ years experience in hands-on lean manufacturing.

--- Green Belt or similar Lean Certification is required

--- Possess in-depth knowledge of the Lean methodology and tools used to drive the Lean conversion process

--- Ability to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future
