Job Description:

Who We Are

TALON is driven by two principles – Radical Transparency and Healthcare Consumerism. Our mission is to educate, empower, and incentivize the American healthcare consumer. We are preparing clients across America to comply with the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and No Surprises Act mandates. Our MyMedicalShopper™ product, a mobile-first app that arms consumers with the information they need to make intelligent healthcare purchasing decisions, served as the prototype for those mandates.

Who We Need

TALON is looking for Senior Software Engineers who are resourceful and resilient. We need people who have a passion for data innovations, supportability, and data quality. The ideal candidates will have an instinctive desire to build things the right way, without cutting corners. You should be pain-averse -- if a process or system isn't as streamlined as it could be your reaction is to fix it!

You will be responsible for the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery, and maintenance. Must-haves include a penchant for problem-solving and keen attention to detail, enabling you to identify coding errors before the testing stage to save valuable time and ensure that deadlines are met. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

What’s In It for You

No corporate noise, no archaic chains of command, no micro-management.

TALON offers an engaging, entrepreneurial environment that will inspire you to treat your work as a craft, not just a job. And if the warm and welcoming, collaborative spirit inside isn’t enough, the floor-to-ceiling office windows with waterfront views might help. An engaging and flexible workplace, TALON offers you the opportunity to solve the kind of riveting challenges that engineers live for.

You will work alongside passionate, talented people you’ll be proud to call your teammates. We offer you the tools and community you need to do your best work. In turn, each of us is committed to being accountable for results, challenging the status quo, and continually finding new ways to grow our company and each other.

TALON provides benefit options to help keep you and your family healthy and protected. We offer flexible work schedules, unlimited snacks and coffee, a casual dress and comfortable workplace vibe, regular social activities, and an entrepreneurial team spirit that is built on mutual respect and trust.

- Manages complexity – Able to make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory, information to effectively solve problems.
