Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) HQ Design Office is currently seeking an experienced professional engineer with demonstrated leadership skills to fill a critical role as an Assistant State Design Engineer in Olympia, WA. This position is a great opportunity to be a part of a high performing team that provides strategic Design Office leadership for developing and implementing statewide policy on project development related initiatives as well as facilitating successful region project delivery. This position reports to the Deputy State Design Engineer and supervises a Design Liaison. The successful candidate for this position will be expected to work at the Olympia HQ 1 day per month and will have flexibility to work out of other WSDOT offices or telework for the remainder of the week.
