Job Description:

Come join our growing company and team! Legend Brands, an innovator in all things cleaning and restoration, is hiring for Mechanical Engineers at our Burlington WA location. 

Develop new products for the portable air movement, air conditioning, and air cleaning markets.  Develop tooling, fixtures, jigs to improve process efficiency, safety, ergonomics and quality.  Create custom components in various materials such as plastics, sheet metal, wire form, and cast/machined metals.  Analyze part designs using SolidWorks, MoldEx 3D, and other software.    Create technical drawings, schematics, spare parts lists, work instructions and Bills of Material for new and existing products.

Qualifications:
  • Understanding of various manufacturing process including injection mold, rotomolding, sheet metal fabrication, thermoforming, and assembly.
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid flow.
  • Knowledge of electrical components, sensors, motor controls.
  • Experience with product safety listing e.g. UL, CSA, IEC.
  • Strong SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM experience (minimum 2 years experience) - CSWP preferred.
  • Analytical, accurate and detail-oriented.  Willingness to put in extra effort at critical stages of a project.
  • Knowledge of Data Acquisition systems and product test methods.
  • Knowledge of engineering Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software a plus.
  • Design of Experiments knowledge and experience.
  • Product design, product testing, manufacturing engineer experience, with the ability to work both at a computer and in the shop on various projects as required.
 
Education and/or Experience: 
  • Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree.
  • 5 years of work experience in the Engineering field.
