Job Description:

Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, USA with a technical support center in the Philippines that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies.

As part of a facility inspection team, the HVAC Technician will be responsible for inspecting HVAC systems, electrical components of HVAC equipment, piped utility services, and general fire protection components. 

The place of performance will be in Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands, under a 2-3 months contract.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Identify and document maintenance issues on HVAC equipment 
  • Consult inspection team on HVAC system and equipment status  
  • Analyze HVAC systems and equipment when necessary to find inefficiencies or malfunctions and identify solutions to optimize performance and increase the efficiency of operation 
  • Attend regular meetings with the project team 
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. 

Qualifications To be successful in the role: 

  • 5 years of relevant experience in HVAC installation and/or repair 
  • Preferably completed HVAC certification training 
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, building products, construction details/design, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards 
  • Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating 
  • Excellent English is written and verbal communication skills 
  • Must have a valid passport.
