Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Bridge and Structures Office is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer 4 to serve as the Construction Support Engineer. This position is responsible for performing essential Bridge and Structures Construction Support functions including but not limited to reviewing, coordinating, and tracking contracts submittals for bridges and structures on WSDOT construction projects, coordinating Bridge and Structures contract submittals with Bridge Design Office Engineers, HQ Materials Lab Geotechnical Engineers, HQ Construction Office, and Region Project Office Engineers. This position supports WSDOT's mission “To provide and support safe, reliable and cost-effective transportation options to improve livable communities and economic vitality for people and businesses” by ensuring contractor bridge related construction submittals are properly reviewed in a timely manner allowing the Regions to deliver the Capital transportation projects on schedule.
