Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Bridge and Structures Office is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer 5 to serve as the Senior Lead Sign Bridge Inspector in Tumwater, WA. This position is responsible for leading and performing sign bridge inspections as well as assisting in federally mandated bridge and tunnel inspections as a Lead-Inspector. NBIS standards dictate the scope and requirements of a bridge inspection program, and NTIS standards dictate scope and requirements of a tunnel inspection program. These inspections are the basic mission of the Bridge Preservation office. The position supports WSDOT’s mission of providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation by ensuring the safety and reliability of the bridges on the state highway system.
