Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 to serve as the Scoping Engineer in Olympia, WA. The Scoping Engineer serves as a headquarters specialist for the agency in technical analysis and review of scoping support and review of transportation projects related to the Highway Transportation System. This position possesses an understanding of project development and ensures that projects are scoped according to policy and Practical Solutions principles. This position plays a key role in ensuring projects are positioned to move into the design phase on-scope, on-budget and on time. The incumbent will be responsible for final review of the project summary, which is a key process to ensure Practical Solutions, and especially asset management principles, are being implemented.
