The Sr. Chemical Process Engineer will provide engineering support in the areas of chemical product, process, and analysis development, troubleshooting, cost (yield and labor efficiency) improvement, and cycle time reduction. This position will be a key technical resource for all Process Engineering staff overseeing chemical processes in the PAC business unit and will be responsible for several manufacturing sites. This position will also assist in the research and proposal of new production equipment, procedures, and methods to automate, improve, and/or scale-up existing processes.

You Will Have the Opportunity to:

  • Act as Project Leader for large-scale and/or multi-site chemical process development and improvement initiatives
  • Provide guidance in and ensures completion of Process Safety Management (PSM) reviews and procedures for chemical processes
  • Lead site Process Engineers in investigating and proposing new production procedures and methods to automate, improve, and/or scale-up existing processes
  • Completes Continuous Improvement projects utilizing Six Sigma & Lean techniques to improve key metrics that increase organizational effectiveness and reduce cycle time (Cost of Quality, Customer Complaints, Yield, and Efficiency)

REQUIREMENTS: ​

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Chemical Engineering preferred
  • MUST HAVE CHEMICAL BACKGROUND
  • Prefer Master's degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred
  • Exposure to Process Safety Management (PSM) as it relates to chemical processes
  • Travel required 25% - 33%

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
