Bacik Group is actively searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Focus - to support the FAA's Facilities Engineering Branch in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Candidate will provide expertise in the application of state-of-the-art technology to meet the mission requirements of the Customer with a primary focus on facility and site infrastructure and systems. The candidate must possess, at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.

Duties

  • Conduct Electrical Power Surveys
  • Design Electrical Modifications to buildings and equipment.
  • Provide estimates and support design and construction efforts.
  • Support the development of the electrical portion of the A/E SOW & cost estimates, design reviews/comments, progress meeting attendance.
  • Determine electrical loads requirements, and develop any documentation required to support the design.
  • Develop layouts of the equipment racks.
  • Identify power panels, air conditioning units, etc. utilizing correct equipment name/designation
  • Create a correct single line tracing all the electrical panels all the way up to the substation where they are connected. Identify transformer sizes, correct breaker sizes, and breaker amperage rating as well as breaker trip rating.
  • Gather electrical readings and add information to single line diagram. If drawings, single line diagrams, and layouts are already available, verify accuracy, correct any errors, and provide information.
  • Support design of Lightning and Surge Protection, Grounding, Bonding, and Shielding Requirements for Facilities and Electronic Equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with the FAA Electrical Engineering team and project stakeholders.
  • Support cable TV and internet connectivity initial installation and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to obtain FAA Suitability / Public Trust Clearance
  • 10 years minimum relevant experience

Work Schedule:

  • Ability to support 8 hour shifts ranging from 6:00am to 5:00pm. 40 hours per week. Weekend and off shift support may be required in rare instances.

Work Location: On Site at the WJHTC - Semi Remote due to COVID restrictions.
