Job Description:

UDRI invites qualified candidate to apply for their UX Software Lead opening within the Sensor and Software Systems Division!

This position will involve gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers. Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps. Designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets. Lead multiple UX team projects.

Minimum Qualifications
• B.S. in Computer Science, Design, Visual Communications, or equivalent work experience in those disciplines (Visual Design, User Experience, Web Design, Branding, Print Design, etc.).
• Working experience developing software UI, using modern languages
• 3+ years of working experience with Web development and Mobile App Development
• 5+ years of working experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop. etc.)
• Effective communication skills
• US Citizen


Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• M.S. in CS, CompE, EE, Data Science
• Working experience with automated build and continuous integration and Agile software development.
• Working experience with Air Force maintenance groups: AFLCMC, RSO, NDIO, etc.


Special Instructions to Applicants

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.
