The Associate Program Manager will support the program management of several government and commercial programs across the Division's portfolio. Specifically, this position will be responsible for tracking schedules, costs, and deliverable issues for related efforts, with an emphasis on lower level detail items that roll up into the high level task order. These duties will include tracking of deliverables, formatting of “raw data” financial information into desired formats, developing metrics to track activities, and coordinating schedules across all activities. This position will assist in developing, maintaining and reporting performance metrics. This position is located at the University of Dayton Research Institute, Dayton, OH and is within the Nonstructural Materials Division.


Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree and/or Master's degree in business, management, finance or equivalent.
2. 3 years of business, finance, or marketing project management experience.
3. Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate attention to detail.
4. Demonstrated successful collaboration within a multidisciplinary team
5. Effective written communication skills.
6. Proficiency with MS Office Suite
7. Demonstrated experience in creating professional briefings and communications with proficiency in MS Powerpoint.
8. Due to the nature of this position, US citizenship is required


Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

1. Working knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
2. 5+ years of business, finance, or technical project management experience.
3. Experience with UDRI policies and procedures
4. DAU level I or II Life cycle Logistics certification or PMP certification.
6. Effective interpersonal communication skills.
7. Demonstrated effective verbal communication with clients at all levels.
8. Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
9. Demonstrated successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.
10. Active US Security Clearance and/or the ability to gain/maintain clearance.


Special Instructions to Applicants

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.
