Spartronics is a leader in complex electronics manufacturing and design services, serving customers in defense, aerospace, space, medical device, instrumentation & control, and life science markets. Spartronics is growing rapidly with manufacturing locations domestically in Williamsport PA, Logan UT, Brooksville FL, Watertown SD, Plaistow NH and Internationally in Mexico and Vietnam. This position is to support the growth in Aerospace & Defense customers in Williamsport PA.

 

Basic Purpose of Position: The Program Manager will act as the primary customer contact for all program activities. Lead customer engagement activities including regularly scheduled teleconferences, technical interchange meetings, performance reviews, as well as Bid & Proposal activities. Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Develop and maintain program schedules and manage the cross-functional team to meet deadlines set forth in program plan. Lead internal cross-functional meetings and assignments spanning technical, quality, delivery, inventory, cost and price. Coordinate and prepare proposals, budgets, program reviews and financial plans. Responsible for overall customer satisfaction, profitability and risk management.

 

Primary or Major Responsibilities:

 

• Foster highly effective customer relationships and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction

• Lead customer Bid & Proposal activities with on-time and accurate submission; including internal reviews for strategic opportunities with Executive Leadership prior to submission

• Shape the financial performance of your assigned customers/programs to drive revenue and Operating Income growth, as well as effective inventory and cash management

• Maintain a firm understanding of customer and market prices, bid strategy, probability-of-win, status of bids submitted and lessons learned for lost proposals

• Host and lead regular customer Business Reviews (on-site or virtual), including preparation of presentation material

• Lead internal Program Reviews with Executive Leadership to status assigned programs regarding quality, delivery, financial, forecast, risks and opportunities

• Growth oriented, able to facilitate and identify new revenue and program opportunities with existing customers

• Maintain risk registry and risk mitigation activities related to delivery, technical and financial risk

• Work closely with Business Development to help on-board new customers and programs

• Review customer scorecards, feedback and complaints to drive continuous improvement activities related to quality, delivery and customer satisfaction

• Establish and maintain a 12-month rolling forecast; improvement forecast accuracy through customer inputs, analysis and business intelligence

• Manage backlog revenue planning with appropriate forward-looking visibility. Clearly identify backlog which cannot be executed due to customer holds/technical/material or other constraints

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders for action item tracking and closure, as well as accurate commitments and delivery status

• Execute effective and on-time program start-up with Sales Order entry, Contract Reviews, Change coordination and complete/accurate customer Technical Data Packages

• Facilitate effective business decisions, analysis, pricing and impact of customer Return Material Authorization for in-warranty and out-of-warranty repairs

• Lead excess/aging inventory related analysis and action with the customers

• Maintain core metrics and KPIs; identifying actions and improvements

• Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to assigned Associate Program Manager supporting your customers/programs

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (Business or Engineering field preferred)

• 7-10 years of relevant work experience

• Excellent customer service and leadership

• Negotiation of contract requirements, schedule, cost and price

• Proficient at multitasking and prioritization

• Computer skills including Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Technical acumen with ability to simplify and succinctly explain complex issues

• Executive presence, able to manage interactions with leaders from other organizations

• Effective presentation skills to Executive leadership, internally and externally

• Exceptional financial acumen, able to budget, analyze costs, price and drive profitability

• High energy and desire to work in a fast-paced environment

• Confident decision-maker and results oriented
