In conjunction with University of Dayton Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), the Coordinator will ensure that UD EHS policies are appropriately translated to the School of Engineering (SOE). This includes communication, training, tracking, and controlling access in the SOE offices, classrooms, and laboratories for students, faculty, and staff. The Coordinator will also serve as a liaison to UD Facilities on all SOE building renovations (construction, classroom and office furniture needs, etc.), and communicate and track completion of building maintenance. This position will track, plan timing, and communicate all facilities projects with the SOE.


Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree plus two years of relevant experience; OR Associate’s degree plus five years of relevant experience; OR High School Diploma/GED with Environmental Health & Safety certifications plus seven years of relevant training and experience
• Experience implementing workplace policies
• Ability to manage multiple, complex projects to completion
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Docs


Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• BS or MS in STEM field
• Project management experience
• Experience working in an academic setting
• Experience with OSHA guidelines
• Ability to work with socially and culturally diverse communities

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
