Responsibilities:

• Design or Modify Mechanical parts (Enclosure, Back panel, Brackets) for Electrical panel.
• Creates and maintains of a Bill of Materials and General Arrangements for assigned project(s).
• Reviews design efforts from team to ensure that quality is being maintained.
• Provides technical guidance for designers and drafters as appropriate.
• Uses expertise to improve operational efficiencies and meet compliance requirements.
• Manufacturing process development and creation of assembly instructions
• Provide support to products being fabricated/assembled both in-house and out-of-house
• Provide support to select basic Electrical components.
• Find substitute parts that obsoleted or long lead time.
• Build and assembly prototype unit.
• Inspect and create report on first Article part.

Knowledge and skill:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or a related field, with minimum 2 years’ experience is desired. Those with no degree with such much experience will be considered.
• Some electrical (Instrumentation and Control) knowledge is required.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, UL508A, CSA, CE.
• Working knowledge of AutoCad is required.
• Familiarity with Creo a plus.
• Hazardous environment design experience is a plus.
• Be able to leverage individual strengths to provide value to the entire team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to effectively work on more than one project.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment testing (drug test) and a background check.
