Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is looking for an experienced and motivated engineer to join our team in Olympia! This position serves as the statewide Integrated Corridor Operations Engineer, with the focus on improving the overall transportation system performance. Requiring a high level of expertise, this position is responsible for development and implementation of statewide policies and standards for: TMC operations, signal operations, Integrated Corridor Management, hard shoulder running, variable speed systems, ramp metering, and advanced traffic management systems (ATMS).
 
This position is responsible for identifying and resolving issues, providing training, and leading change in the area of Corridor Operations and TMC and traffic signal operations. Working with senior leadership, this position prioritizes and leads change to ensure the critical policies and practices associated with corridor operations are an effective use of resources available to regional and statewide traffic operations.
