Job Description:

Join UDRI's Cold Spray Technologies Department! This position is for a technician for cold spray operations within the Cold Spray Repair Technologies Group. This role will support cold spray operations through sample preparation, sample tracking, sample marking, functioning as an operator with the cold spray process, running material load frame testing when needed, and facilitating the delivery of samples to the UDRI machine shop and material testing labs. Responsibilities also include some ownership of repair fixture design work, working with robotics engineers, as well as data management.


Minimum Qualifications

Associates Degree in a technical field
Direct experience with cold spray equipment
Direct experience with material testing load frames
Working experience with data management through Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of Solidworks 3D modeling software
Experience with 3D printing of fixtures and parts
US citizenship is required

A minimum of three years of directly related experience is required at T2 level


Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Experience/exposure to industrial robotics
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities


Special Instructions to Applicants

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
